EDGEWOOD VILLA - $1,800

Edgewood was designed by John Rattenbury (protégé of Frank Lloyd Wright) and is without question an architecturally stunning and enormously comfortable space. With its sweeping views of a private nature reserve and glacially-carved lake, plus the soaring spaces and understated elegance of Prairie Style architecture, this unique accommodation blends seamlessly with its environment.

It’s the getaway of a lifetime, with 2,000 sq. ft. of interior living space AND a 1,500 sq. ft. wraparound deck accessed from each room by French doors. The peacefulness is palpable, with vaulted ceilings and a 50’-long expanse of windows creating an open, airy feeling with incredible and ever-changing views of the lake and forest preserve.

 

The Prairie-style dining area blends into the beautiful living room centered on a massive Chilton Limestone fireplace with hidden oversize flat-panel TV system with theater speakers. The Master Bedroom** fosters romance with its fireplace, cozy window seat, and hidden sound system. In the Master Bathroom, delight in the two-person tile steam shower, Finnish sauna with a peek-a-boo window, oversized Jacuzzi tub, and fireplace.
